Adam, Can We Move?

I've had a bit of an obsession with something lately.

Tiny houses.
Houses that are less than 200 sq feet.
Houses like THIS.

Pinned Image

I love everything about this.
Only keeping things that you need and love, the freedom of not having a huge mortgage that you can barely afford, being able to move without hassle.

And look how stylish!

I will be working on Adam about this.

My Friends Are Awesome

I really am super lucky. I have the best friends a girl can have.

Especially this one.

She is my better half.
She rocks my face off.
Her humor is incomparable.

So......... I have to give a shout out to her:
Teeny, you are fantastic, and I can't imagine my world without you.

And, in case anyone wants to know what the hell we are doing in this photo, we are taking a "blurry lips" photo. You start to make a "buzz" noise with your lips while someone photographs it.

The results are stunning. Clearly.

I should also add this photo of us from way back when.

Good God.

Happy Entrance

I hinted pretty hard that I would LOVE to have this owl mat for our front door.

I don't believe in subtlety .

A few days later (I was not expecting it so soon!) it was right in front of our apartment. It makes me smile every time I enter or leave our home. It's so cute, I can hardly stand it.

That's right, be jealous.

Just A Sleeping Adam......

A morning snap shot I took on our spur-of-the-moment-camping-trip.

He was out like a light.

Morning Glory

Perfect way to start the day:
Oatmeal with Almonds and Raspberries
and
Coffee with Milk

Delicious.

Moab, You Will Always Have My Heart......

My friend Alex has a father who lives in Moab, Utah.
One summer, 2006 I think, Adam, Alex and myself went down there to visit. It was AMAZING. Hiking, rafting, and hanging out with my awesome boyfriend and good friend Alex.

The year after that, we added some people. They also had an amazing time, Moab is truly a magical place. I will only have fond memories of those trips. We took another trip the year after that, but we haven't been able to go for almost three years. This makes me sad.

I found the one (one?! Can you believe it?! I'm such an idiot) disposable camera that I took on that second trip, and I got so excited! All of the memories came flooding back. It was really great to see how happy and relaxed we all were during that week.

And, I'm pretty happy of how the photos look. They are completely straight out of camera, nothing fudged with them. I think they look pretty cool. Then again, I'm also biased of anything Moab related.

Tomatoes, Tomatoes, Tomatoes!

I am so excited for my tomatoes, they are coming in nicely.

One guy in particular is making an effort to speed things along. Look how red it is!

Summer is awesome.

Yeesh!

This is what my kitchen looked like after two days of not cleaning.

Good Lord.

This is why it's important to always clean up after yourselves, kids! Very important.

Thank goodness it didn't take long to clean.

Summer Food

There has been a lot of cooking going on in this kitchen.

I always get like this, I go on a cooking/baking binge, and then I get sick of doing dishes and coming up with meals, and then Adam and I eat Ramen for dinner.

Oh well.

Anyway, I love when the seasons change, because there is fresh produce that is coming up, my apartment garden is looking good, and the farmer's markets are starting up again.

Woo hoo!

Delicious chicken and summer drinks are always a great way to end the day.

My Awesome Date Day!

I told Adam that he better be ready to become a tourist for the day, because we were going to see something fantastic that Fargo offers.

You didn't know that we had a Walk of Fame, did you?

Well, we do.

It rocks!

Actually, we didn't really find it all that impressive. So, there are no pictures of it. But, I DID get a picture of the woodchipper made famous in the movie Fargo

I'm more theatrical, I think.

Then we posed next to the pretty buffalo that are dotted throughout Fargo.

I think that we went out for dinner after, and I'm sure it was good. I honestly can't remember. Oops.

I told him that I would make our city Hollywood for a day.

Adorable Cat Children

He knows he's adorable. It's becoming a problem.

Nora, on the other hand, doesn't really like the camera.

I look like a crazy cat lady. This post proves it.

Long Time, No Post!

Wow, it's been a looooong time since I posted anything. I guess there has been a few weeks where I just don't feel like I have anything worth posting.
The usual days go by, Adam and I are working, then dinner together and usually spending time with friends or hanging out at home playing Texas Hold 'Em on Xbox.
There is nothing wrong with this routine, but it doesn't make for much of a blog post.
There are some things that are making me happy.

I have THESE!

I am breaking them in as we speak, and I am so excited. Every time I look down at my feet, I get a little bit giddy. They are wonderful! I especially like the ankle strap, I don't care for sandals without one, since it doesn't feel like it has as much support. I am so happy to have sandals that I will have for years to come and they work well with most of my summer wardrobe.

Yippee!

I'm also excited for more camping in our future. We made a quick one night car camping trip to Buffalo State Park. It's only 15 minutes from Fargo-Moorhead, and it was empty.
Even better.
We agree that it wouldn't have been as fun if there were other campers there, since the sites are only a few feet from each other. We had site 42, and we ended up taking up a total of 4 site spaces.

We like a lot of room.

It was nice to just hang out, no computers or cell phones out constantly. We had our phones, since Adam can't be completely out of the loop for work, but he didn't spend hardly any time on time on it.

We are just excited that we added more camping equipment to our stash, so we can make more trips this summer. Because, isn't that what it's all about?
