Bowling and Pizza!

What do you do when the weather is bad?

You go bowling, of course.

A. had the great idea to take ourselves out of the house and challenge each other to a game of bowling. It was the perfect idea.

But first, we needed to fuel up.

That fuel came to us by Duane's House of Pizza. That place has such good pizza, it's ridiculous.

Next up, bowling at The Bowler. Fun times ahead!

A. ended up beating me by one game, we almost went for another game, but our wrists were killing us!
A. had a couple gutter balls, they made him angry.

After our game, our friends invited us over to their home to play some games, mostly Settlers of Catan. Such a fun game, especially since A. and I purchased the expansion, so we can play with more than 4 people.

All in all, it was a great evening, friends, games and little babies always make the greatest times.

Winter Wonderland

Bryan Scott takes wonderful photos of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and his ones of winter are especially breathtaking.
Wouldn't you like to take a romantic walk through this?

This doesn't make winter look bad at all.

It's An Addiction...

Like it says in my profile information, AND in my blog title, I have a problem.

A problem with coffee cups.
A really big problem.

Thankfully, A. doesn't really seem to mind. He doesn't groan or complain when I bring home yet ANOTHER coffee mug that I really don't need. But I think it might be getting to him, just a little bit.
He told me that I need to get a tree stand for my cups.
I will definitely do that, as soon as I buy just a few more.

Here are some that look especially adorable.

Wouldn't they be the cutest to have displayed on your counter tops?

Aunt and Uncle!

Our good friends recently had a baby in January, and it is the first baby to be born in our close circle of friends. Needless to say, A. and I were super excited and when that day arrived, we were a bundle of nerves. A. was running out to the car when we got the call to come to the hospital.

The nervous, soon-to-be uncle.

I kept joking that he was probably acting more nervous than the new dad!
We arrived at the hospital and minutes later, our nephew was born. He never cried the entire time we were there, just staring at everything and everyone.

He knows he's a looker.

He is such a cute newborn, I can hardly stand it! It's been over a month since he was born, and it's incredible how much he's grown. It's been a very special month for me and A.

Me and Alex, the new dad.

We also found out that another really close friend of ours is expecting in June. So exciting for us to see our friends create families and to be a part of it all.

A Sweet Reminder

I have found this list several times over the past few months, and I always like how simple the advice is. That always seems to be how life is, the most simple answers are often the wisest.

I need to remember to try and read through this as often as I can, it's good advice.

Date Day!

It was my week for date day, and so I went with a theme: Childhood! When we got into the car, I told A. to put on a blindfold and then guess where we were going based on the turns I was taking. He didn't get 100%, but he was spot on in guessing our relative location, I was pretty impressed. Our first stop was
......................
Skateland!

                                                 A. doesn't rollerskate, he is a rollerblader, but he did very well. ;)

We mostly played the cheap arcade games (only a quarter per game!) and only skated for a total of 10 minutes. But it was fun, even though the 5 year olds were kicking our butts on the rink. A. almost wiped out a few times, but kept his composure. ;)

Our next stop was for food, so I took him to a place that I remember fondly from my own childhood.

The breakfast pizza coupons? No thanks.

The pizza was great, the service was not. Unfortunately, this location seems to be on it's last leg. The game room (yeah, we wanted to play some more games, don't judge) wasn't up to snuff. There were six games out of commission and the floors were filthy and tiles were broken. A. and I were the only ones in the place, but only when we were leaving did anyone say hello and ask if we needed anything. Oh well. It didn't stop us from enjoying our delicious dinner.

It didn't take us long.

No, it did not.
If you can't tell, we really like our pizza.
Most of our date days include this delicious food.

Handsome dining companion.

All in all, it was a wonderful date day. It's A.'s turn next week, I can't wait until the next one.

Starting Again......

Well, hopefully the third time is the charm! Starting another blog, a place to put the photos, recipes, and memories in one place. A. is very supportive, saying that this will be a good thing to start doing, recording things as they happen; I agree with him.

So, let's do it!
